Percy Warner Park

A couple of weekends ago we hooked up with friends and decided to go for a hike at Percy Warner Park in  Nashville. It was a BEAUTIFUL day!
Can I just brag on this little priss for a sec? We hiked over 7 miles and she was a trooper....SEVEN MILES! Yes she was carried part of the way by the men in our group but none the less she lead the pack the majority of the hike. All 3 hours of it!

Our pumpkins

This year I was a little late getting our pumpkins. I picked up a couple from Walmart the Sunday before Halloween. We got one pumpkin to carve and one to paint.

Here is Baylee waiting patiently while Daddy carves our "scary" pumpkin.

It was nearly Baylee's bedtime when it was done so we had to wait until the following night to paint the other pumpkin. We decided to do an LSU pumpkin and Baylee did with it what she wished. First she started off with polka dots......

 Then she started adding stripes.....

And this my friend is our painted pumpkin! It's a beauty right? ;) She was so proud!

Red Ribbon week at SCE

Last week was Red Ribbon week at SCE. This year's county-wide theme is "Drug-free is the Key".

Monday- Pajama Day

Tuesday was hat day. I had to be at work by 7:00 so I wasn't able to take any pics.

Wednesday was "Career Dress Up Day". I didn't want to buy 2 costumes (since she wants to be a police officer when she grows up) so she was okay wearing her Halloween Tee.
Little poser!

With her painted pumpkin- decorating pics to come.
Thursday was Red day and Friday was Western day. I didn't get any picture of either of these days. Friday her class went to the Pumpkin Patch so they had to wear tennis shoes and field trip shirts so we missed out on Western Day.

Coming up: Decorating our pumpkin: Purple and Gold style, Long Hollow County Fair, and Percy Warner Hike Day. Stay tuned.........
