Birthday party for Two

Sunday after church Baylee and I had plans to go to Jack and Henry's 2nd birthday party. It started at 10:00 and we don't get out of church until that time so needless to say we were almost an hour late. We booked it home from church, changed clothes, and dashed out the door. It was such a beautiful day. Perfect day for an outside birthday party in fact. This time last year when we celebrated their 1st birthday it was much different. It was COLD and wet! Click HERE to see last years party pics.

In deep conversation ;)Baylee fell asleep on our way to the party so it took her a while to come around and want to get down and play.Who needs toys? Empty cans of beans is all a kids needs, or at least Baylee anyway. My friend Alisha was looking at my camera and snapped this pic of me and my Bay.The swing set was a HUGE hit!Blurry but still super cute! This is Zoe Lynn. She is just two weeks old. She is the baby sister to the birthday boys Jack and Henry and also big brother Conner.Mommy and Daddy Jeffries with their birthday boysLots of kiddos getting ready to dig into some cake!Jack, Baylee & EthanWhat can I say? Model Behavior

Sunday morning I pulled out my camera for a mini-photo shoot. While Daddy was getting ready for church Baylee and I were dressed and ready and had time to kill. Baylee took a few but they won't be making the blog. She didn't have the best angle :)
Smiling for the camera but looking at the TV. She was watching Rudolph.

My big blue eyed girlHiding from Mommy....These next two were taken upside down. I flipped them while editingI know I am her Mommy and all Mommy's feel this way about their children but man I think she is the most beautiful two year old girl on the planet :)And happy to boot!Up next: Birthday party for TWO

Stylin'

Last Sunday afternoon we headed to Carl's Uncle's house to spend the afternoon. Carl was helping him do some yard work and Baylee and I was able to enjoy the awesome weather we have been having. I took lots of pictures with my phone but none with my camera. I am trying to figure out how to upload them onto the blog because I got some great pictures of Baylee, Aunt Kellye, and Mufasa (their ginormous dog).
I took these while we were on the road headed to their house. Baylee got a new pair of "gasses" andshe just loves them. She would put them on her head and 5 minutes later she would say "oh no Mommy...where my gasses?"
Yes I realize that they are totally crooked.
I didn't realize this at the time but Nikki pointed out that in this picture she looks like her Aunt Kassi. I have to agree with her.

Like Father like daughter

Carl took up golf after we moved to Tennessee back in 2003. Since then he has really gained a passion for the game.....and our bank account took a big hit because of it :). Carl has been looking forward to Baylee being old enough to take her to the golf course. She has two sets of plastic golf clubs and she loves to watch her Daddy play out in the yard. He uses old balls and drives them into the field next to our house. We are planning to get her a set of clubs for her 3rd birthday and he looks forward to next summer being able to take her to the driving range.
Totally in his element.

TGIF

Last Friday Carl had to pick Baylee up from daycare because I had to work until 5:00. It was around 6:20 when I got home and when I came up the stairs I noticed something on Baylee's head. At school she made an Indian headband out of construction paper. She did not take it off until bedtime. Trying to get a picture with the two of us. She was having none of it.Playing with Dad-dee

Trick or Treat

This was Baylee's FIRST year to go Trick or Treating. Last year we were living with Carl's grandmothers while our house was being built so we just stayed home and passed out candy. I had no expectations as to how this was going to go. Baylee is still a little young to know about trick or treating but boy she does love "canee" (candy).
The Russell's came from LaVergne to go Trick or Treating with us. This was RJ's first time as well. I am pretty sure that us parents had more fun watching out kids than they did getting the candy. This will be our last Halloween to get the kids together. The Russell's are heading back up North after the first of the year. Tear :(
I took this picture before leaving the house. No Baylee did not wear the pink crocs. Although they are her shoes of choice.

It was pretty cold this night. We bundled the kids up, put them in the strollers and were on our way. It's Spiderman! This makes me laugh because it doesn't even look like her. Fake smile with her nostrils flared out! Cracks me up.Our first house. RJ was a total pro. He knew exactly what to do right out of the gate. Baylee rang the door bell and RJ said the line...you know "Trick or Treat" :)Most all of the pictures I took came out pretty dark. A lot of our neighbors didn't have their porch lights on so it wasn't the best setting to take pictures, even with the flash on. Spidy! They remind me a little robots. haBaylee got a sucker from the first house she trick or treated. After that she was done carrying her pumpkin of candy. Being the little gentleman that RJ is, he carried it some and I did as well. Little Miss needed one hand for her sucker and the other to ring the doorbell.Ray doing double duty....carrying and pushing.RJ decided to take over but Baylee was having none of that. I don't blame her...he is dangerous! Look at that little smirk on his face.Isn't this the cutest picture ever? Well I think so anyway! I love these two...little peeping Toms! Alison and her bundled up baby girlWe had many slammed doors in our faces due to Baylee's "costume"! No not really but lots of jokes about our little cheerleader getting no candy. We should have known. People from Tennessee are almost as nuts about their UT Vols as we folks from Louisiana are about our LSU Tigers! Probably every two or three houses that we would come to had some UT staple.

Case in point..

After 2 pumpkins almost completely full with candy we headed back to the house. Baylee was so funny with Averly. Very gentle and loving but also a little bossy. She kept telling her "no-no baby" when she began digging in her own diaper bag. She also said "No-No Baby, that Daddeee tuff" (that's Daddy's stuff) when she stood up by the entertainment center and was playing with the stereo. ha

Check out the purple lips. That's from the sucker she worked on during our entire trip trick or treating.

Averly going for the plug in, all the while Baylee following close behind saying "NO NO"! Dressed in PJs and ready for bed. After the sugar high wears off that is!Silly GooseIn my opinion this was definitely a Halloween night to remember. It is going to be hard to top!
