Outdoor Fun

A couple of weekends ago the weather warmed up just enough for us to get outside and enjoy some fresh air. It had been quite a while since Baylee has been able to ride her scooter. Trying to run over PappyGetting some riding time with her horse :)
And here is Carl's fancy art work. He used Baylee's chalkboard and copied from a book. Not bad eh?

Random Sunday pictures

I took this one picture before church. She is so not into taking pictures these days. And after church with her pink John Deer boots. She spotted them in her closet and just had to have them on. I think it looks pretty darn cute :)

Oh how we love Dora!

Every evening Baylee and I get home between 5:15-5:30. Here lately we have been trying to sit down together as a family to have dinner which means Carl does most of the cooking since he beats me home every day. At 6:00 pm Dora comes on and followed Diego. Baylee, like most children, LOVES Dora! These few pictures were taken last Monday night while watching her favorite show. And as you can see she is also a big fan of Lady and the Tramp. We didn't have the greatest of weekends. Baylee ran fever most all of it and kept me up for a couple of hours Saturday night burning up with fever. I was positive that she had an ear infection because she had no other symptoms and would whine when I put the thermometer in her ear to get her temp. She went to the doctor this morning and her ears where clear as a bell. However, the tube in her left ear is beginning to come out. Dr. Stuart didn't remove it but said it should fall out on it's on soon. The doctor seems to think it is just a little virus. A little side note Baylee is up to a whopping 28 pounds! Crazy right???? She gets the long, lankiness from her Daddy I can assure you :)

Happy Girl means Happy Mommy

I was totally amazed at how well Baylee did when I dropped her off at daycare Monday morning. She is not one of those children that will just go to anyone so as we pulled into the parking lot of her new daycare I felt sick to my stomach. I was so worried that she was going to have a total meltdown. As we were walking to the entrance I was tried to make her understand that this was her new "school". On the door her her classroom they had made a sign that said "Welcome our newest starfish BAYLEE". The entire daycare is nautical themed. When we walked in her room all the kiddos said "Hey Baylee!". The teacher had been working with the kids to learn her name :). She was acting extremely shy at first but was like a deer in headlights checking out all of the cool toys. One of the little girls in the classroom assured me that "I play wit her". After about 10 minutes passed she decided to dive right in and play. I waited around for a few minutes to be sure she was okay and after a quick kiss I was on my way. I am proud to say that I called just once throughout the day to check on her and they said she was doing awesome!
These pictures were taken before daycare. Like always she was not wanting her picture taken so she tried to hide under the dining room table.

This daycare really works with children on potty training. They have a potty timer in the room and every 15 minutes when it goes off the teachers take them to the restroom. I could not believe that after just one day there she came home and tee-teed on the potty 3 times with no accidents and slept for more than 10 hours during the night and woke up the following morning dry! HALLELUJAH! I know we have a ways to go before we can call her "potty trained" but this is a great start.

A New Start

This is Baylee's first day at a new daycare. It is a bitter sweet moment for me. She has been going to All About Kids since she was just 6 weeks old. Believe me this is not a decision that her Daddy and I made over night. I even teared up a bit when I gave them her written two weeks notice. They all love her there and I know the feeling is mutual. However, this new daycare will give her the structure that she needs to learn and grow and prepare her for pre-school. I look forward to seeing her learn new things and hopefully get on track for potty training (fingers crossed).
