bye bye law office...

In 15 minutes I am walking away from a job I have held for more than 5 years. I will miss these people more than I ever thought I would. This place has been my second home (Lord knows our place of employment is where we spend the majority of our time) and these people like my second family. I am VERY sad today :(

Mortgage FREE!

We are officially MORTGAGE FREE! That is for a few months anyway. Carl and I closed on our house last Thursday afternoon. We have begun the process of having a house built in Hendersonville. In the meantime, we have literally STUFFED all of our belongings into a 20x20 storage facility(except for Baylee's crib and our clothing) and we have moved in with Carl's grandmother. We were told that the builders would have the home completed in 90 days...so we shall see. We are a bit cramped having 5 people and 1 large dog in a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom house but we are managing. We are just so very appreciative to have a place to stay for the next 3 months. Tonight Carl and I are going to the Selections Meeting and picking out EVERYTHING from the brick color, flooring, cabinets, counter tops, ect. Very excited!

Just hanging out...

Saturday afternoon Baylee and I headed to Green Hills to visit Holly. We stayed for a few hours and then headed home. Baylee was SOOO very sleepy and I wanted to be home to see the kick-off for the LSU v. Mississippi State game. Carl rode up to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game and Maw Maw Dot was at work so Baylee and I just hung out with Maw until bedtime ;) I couldn't get a single picture with both of them looking at me. Silly girl...
Baylee pulled out a photo album the other night and Daddy was flipping through it telling Baylee who each person was. Of course being little miss busy body she would let him do it, let alone sit down long enough to look at them all.

Rub-a-dub-dub

Besides playing outside, bath time is Baylee's FAVORITE time of day. She is less than happy when it is time to get out. I took this photos Wednesday night. To keep her occupied while I dried her off, greased her down with lotion, and got her dressed I thought I would see if I could get a laugh out of her. I asked her "What does Santa Claus say?"...followed by me saying "HO HO HO". After a few times I would ask the same question "Baylee, what does Santa Claus say?" and she would say "HO HO HO"...it was more like "hu hu hu" but she got the concept. I am hoping by December we will have it down pat.

so BIG!

We spent most of our Saturday morning packing and moving. Carl said that he HAD to be in front of a TV by 2:00 because he wanted to watch Tennessee v. Florida and then LSU v. Auburn at 6:30. Carl's Uncle Johnny came over Saturday morning and helped Carl load up all of the heavy items that I could not lift. They made a couple of trips to the storage building and then headed to Uncle Johnny's house to help him unload our couches that he took off of our hands. Baylee and I drove to Alison and Ray's. The boys (Carl and Ray) met up at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game while Alison and I did a little shopping.
This cracks me up. RJ has NEVER taken a pacifier; HOWEVER, he loves Baylee's and she will sometimes share.

RJ doing his BIG BOY SMILE with the paci in his mouth. Baylee is very into acting grown up these days. She loves sitting in chairs made for her size. RJ has a little table and chair set and she loves it. However; she is VERY stingy and kept pulling the chairs away from RJ. little cheeser!Baylee was very into this toy. However; RJ wanted to ride with her.....And THIS is what happened next..Yep...he decided to crawl right on and sit in Baylee's lap. Obviously by the look on her face she was not happy! I had my camera sitting in my lap at the time so Ray told me to snap a picture real quick. I then lifted RJ off of Baylee and she was fine. He is QUITE a load on her tiny chicken legs ;).

As you can see from the picture below she quickly forgave him. She even offered him some of her ravioli.

We had a GREAT day with the Russell's. I am COUNTING down the days until Averly's arrival!

I filmed this video sometime last week. It is too long to post using blogger and I didn't want to cut it short just so I could post it. It was late one night (somewhere close to Baylee's bedtime). She thought it was HILARIOUS how Maddie reacted when coming at her with the clothes hamper. (Maddie is VERY strange and afraid of EVERYTHING).

video of Buggy

Carl's cousin Brittney made this SWEET video and emailed it to me. I HAD to post it on the blog for all to see. Thanks B! WE LOVE YOU!

Some fun facts of our fourteen month old

I am slacking majorly in the blogging department. I have not taken a single picture since last Friday night at the wedding. We have had LOTS going on trying to get our entire house crammed into 10x20 storage building while we wait for our house to be built. We close next Friday (September 26) on our home. People keep asking me if I will be sad about leaving our first home. The only thing that saddens me is that Baylee was brought home from the hospital to this house. I feel no attachment to it whatsoever. I am ready to have more space for B to be able to run around in and a better area for her to grow up in and attend school in a few years. I will post some new and FUNNY things what she is doing these days since I have no pics: *blowing kisses when we leave someone or some place that she loves (she blows kisses to her daycare teachers when we leave in the afternoons) *Has decided that she would rather WALK to the door at daycare than for me to carry her in. (She tried to throw a fit one morning when I was running late and didn't have time for miss priss to leisurely walk to the door at her own pace) *LOVES bath time but HATESSSSS to get out. Seems she gets popped every night these days because she starts flipping and flopping around like a fish out of water when I get her out to get dressed. *She now knows where her nose and bellybutton is located. It is hilarious to hear her try and say bellybutton. *Maddie (our boxer) is her VERY best friend but when we scold her for something she is doing Baylee feels that it is her job to do the same....VERY funny to watch. *Baby is a new word in her vocabulary. It comes out more like ba-ba. When taking a bath I will ask her "where is the baby?" and she will grab her shampoo bottle and point to the baby on the back and say ba-ba. *The pa-pa (pacifier) is our LIFESAVER! I dread the day that we attempt to take it away. When we ask her where her pa-pa is she starts making laps around the house whining until she finds it....same with her blanket. She absolutely loves the blanket that Ms. Donis Graves made her before she was born. We jokingly call her Linus (from Charlie Brown) because she drags that poor blanket everywhere.

Uncle Johnny's BIG day..

Friday night we attended the wedding of Carl's Uncle Johnny to his long time girlfriend Kellye. I headed to the church after work and met everyone there. Before the ceremony started Baylee entertained herself by running all over the small chapel.
It was an intimate ceremony with just immediate family. Baylee and I sat in the very back row. We had to get up and walk out because she wanted to announce to everyone she was in the back...why was everyone looking towards the front??. After the ceremony Kellye said she thought Baylee was VERY well behaved..I said "that's because we walked out". She said that Baylee's little outburst kept her from crying and they both were laughing at her :)Bride and Groom with Hailey (Maid of Honor and Kellye's daughter) and Carl (Best Man) My camera has a setting for a candle light lit room. Unfortunately I forgot about changing it and figured I could just edit them later. Most of the pictures came out dark.
These last few of Baylee were taken after the wedding while pictures were being taken.

Water water EVERYWHERE....

Baylee is still having a hard time adjusting to the one nap a day while at daycare. She has become a total "fit-thrower" when we get home because she is so overly exhausted. Carl has been taking her outside after she eats her supper each night to keep her happy and get her good and wore out for bedtime. Last night he decided to pull out the water hose. I stripped off her clothes and she AND Maddie (our boxer) had a BALL (as you can tell in the pictures). After about 45 minutes of wet fun we decided it was time to dry her off and put some clothes on her, since her lips were turning BLUE! Once we came back inside she munched on cheetos for a while and once the fussing started again, we headed upstairs for the bedtime routine. Since Maddie was being a water hog...we went in the front yard to "entertain" our neighbors :) In the next picture you can barely see Baylee running around the side of my car
