Conversation with Jolly Ole' Saint Nick

Tonight I took Baylee to see Santa Claus. For weeks she has been talking about Santa bringing her, and I quote "toys and presents and candy and Woody and Buzzyear". In that exact order. I haven't taken her to see Santa the past two years because she has been absolutely horrified of the big man dressed in red. We have been talking about Santa for sometime now. I decided today that I would take her to see him after her nap. Finally around 4:30, after a 3 1/2 hour nap, I took her to see Santa. She was a bit shy at first but after bribing her with a sucker and a train ride she finally obliged. Here is a little bit of their conversation.
B: "Hey do you have a sleigh?"
Santa: "I sure do. It's at the North Pole. It's much too big to fit in here (mall).
B: "Where's the reindeer?"
Santa: "They are at the North Pole too."
B: "Hey can I go to the North Pole wiff you?"
Santa: "Noooo you have to stay here with all the other children so we can finish making the toys for Christmas."
Mommy: "And it's much too cold at the North Pole" :)
Santa: "So what do you want for Christmas?"
B: "Ummmmm, toys, and presents, and candy, and Woody and Buzzyear"
Santa: "Oh ok you want candy in you stocking?" (probably didn't understand the rest of what she said)
B: Interrupting him while talking "Hey is this your house?" (a large cardboard cutout of a house where the pictures were being taken)
Santa: "Yes this is my temporary house where I am staying until Christmas Eve."

That is pretty much the gist of it. She has gone on and on about Santa since getting home.

Happy Birthday MawMaw Dot!

On October 30 we celebrated MawMaw's birthday.  She is one of Baylee's FAVORITE people on the planet!! I think Maw Maw feels that same way. :)

In the STICKS!

My brother and Daddy have been planning a hunting trip to Kentucky for some time now. Originally it was to be in November but was changed to the last week of October. I mentioned to Mamma about riding up with them and staying with us for the week while they hunted. They drove up on a Friday and on Saturday morning PawPaw and Bubba headed to Kentucky. I still had to work and go to class during the week while she was here but I was able to take one day off. On Wednesday we decided to drive up to Kentucky where the boys were hunting for a visit. Also to pick up a deer my brother had shot and killed that morning. The first picture was taken while we waited AN HOUR for them to meet us at the gas station and follow them back to the camp site.
I love this time of year! Aren't her overalls cute?? Her Bubba bought them for her last year for Christmas. They fit her perfect now!
She looks about 6 years old here.

PawPaw and Baylee running to the playground they had on the camp site.

There was also a putt putt golf course on the camp site. Baylee spotted this Tiger a mile away and insisted on riding it!

Baylee and her Bubba. She has him wrapped around that tiny finger of hers!

The next two are photos by Baylee.

 PawPaw, NeNe and Bug

We had a fun but LONG day! We left the camp around 3:00 p.m. to head back to Nashville. After leaving home around 8:00 a.m., a long drive to and from Kentucky, a trip to the deer processor and picking up dinner it was after 7:00 pm when we made it back to the house!

Playground fun

I promise this LSU cheerleading suit is not the only outfit hanging in Baylee's closet. :)

Student Crusade 2010

A couple of weeks ago we had Student Crusade at our church that ran from Sunday night through Wednesday night. Carl and I volunteered to help out each night wherever needed. It was a pretty exciting event and was as enjoyable for the adults as it was for the teens. The last night of the crusade Damian Williams (Tennessee Titan) and Kevin Mawae (former Titan and LSU TIGER) gave their testimony. That night drew BIG numbers!
Before we headed out Sunday night we snapped these pictures.

Murfreesboro Fall Fest 2010

A few weekends ago Baylee and I headed to Murfreesboro for a Fall Festival. There we met up with Leah, Chad and their kids, and also Hannah and Annabelle. At the fest they had a couple of inflatables that were a big hit with the kids.

There was a firetruck for the kids to explore and play in. Baylee and Annabelle really enjoyed this. I didn't think we were ever going to get them out.

B-E-A-UTIFUL!
Kami and Luke were not too thrilled about being confined to their stroller.

 Cute little Tigers!
Baylee showing EVERYONE her princess panties. Oh joy!

Having a yummy, and MESSY I might add, treat.

Never in a million years did I think Baylee would want to get her face painted. She proved me wrong. She was VERY upset when we washed it off before bed that night.

Enjoying a Krispy Kreme donut while watching live entertainment.

After lunch we headed back to the house to get ready to watch the LSU vs. Florida game. The girls played outside a bit before kickoff.

Leah, Chad and the kids came over as well to grill and watch the game. These are the ONLY 2 pictures I took during the night. Look at the BEAUTIFUL grin!
My BEST Friend!!!!
What a great day! Not only because the Tigers pulled off another win (whoo hoo), but because we got to spend a day with family and friends.
