Sunday

Before heading out the door last Sunday for church I grabbed my camera and asked Daddy to take a pic of B and I. Is she gorgeous or what?? Bubba got the dress for her for her birthday. Just in case you can't quite read it LSU is stitched on the top. We got tons of comments but I must say that they were not all compliments. Crazy Tennesseans!

Mobil Uploads 2

At the golf course with Daddy. These were taken before her birthday so she hadn't gotten her clubs yet.

Doesn't she look like such a little golfer in this outfit? White polo and skort :)

We are members of Long Hollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville. A few weeks ago we had our first Saturday night service.Currently we have 3 services on Sunday mornings and now one service on Saturday evenings. The purpose of having service on Saturday evenings is to free up parking on Sunday mornings and also it is a bit more convenient for some who can't be there on Sunday mornings. I was asked to work Java Central the first Saturday night service. I took these few pictures of Baylee while waiting on her teacher. When Carl picked her up they were in the playroom. That was right up this one's ally!

Mobil Uploads

Carl bought me a phone back in October of last year. I didn't realize just how often I use the camera on it until I was looking for a particular picture one day recently. Apparently I use it A LOT! Here are some of those pictures...

This was taken a couple of weeks ago. Baylee didn't get a nap at daycare on this day and she was asleep in this position when I got home from work. This 3 year still takes naps EVERY day or this happens.

3 years old and showing no signs of slowing down

Last Monday morning I took Baylee for her 3 year check-up. I called at the end of June to schedule the appointment and that was the first available time and date they had. GEESH!
Baylee seems to be one healthy, happy kid. She was not at all interested in taking off her shoes ((GASP)) and stepping on the scale to get her weight. See, Baylee has this thing about her feet. She always has. She doesn't like her feet to be dirty, and she doesn't want "stuff" stuck to the bottom of her feet when she puts her shoes on. When we leave the pool I have to wipe her feet dry before putting her "fee-fops" (flip flops) on. Anyway with much bribing on my part, as well as the nurses, she got on the scale. She weighed in at 30 pounds even and 37 inches tall. That puts her in the 25th percentile for her weight and the 50th percentile for her height.
Before being ushered to the room to wait on the doctor the nurse then asked me if "she had ever peed in a cup before". I am not going to lie. This TOTALLY caught me off guard. I quickly responded by saying "ummm no!" She said "do you think you can get her to?"  Luckily they had some sort of contraption you can set down in the toilet to catch it for you. This is probably a little too much information but I just want to prepare those for what's to come! :)
The doctor came in and asked tons of questions and told me that she is now ready for her first dental visit. I am dreading that day. She didn't want the nurse touching her to get her measurements, much less have someone poking and prodding in her mouth!
The tube in her left ear has fallen out and the one in her right ear has come out of the drum and is now sitting in the canal. It is only a matter of time before it falls out as well. She has had them in since she was 13 months old. They definitely served their purpose. Since getting tubes she has only had 2 ear infections and no other issues. I was then told that Baylee was going to be getting a shot. At her 2 year well check-up I was told that she was done with vaccinations until she was ready to go to kindergarten. Apparently things have changed since then so she had to have another Prevnar shot. She did pretty well. Only cried for a short time and then we were on our way.
A funny side note, she milked the whole thing for all it was worth. She used that shot to her advantage soaking up all the sympathy she could get. Carl said that when they got home that afternoon she started limping and whining that her leg was hurting. On the contrary a little birdie told me (her teacher) that she hadn't slowed down the entire day. Little FIBBER!

The Princess has arrived!

This is one of the gifts Baylee received for her birthday. She got several dress up outfits and shoes. On Saturday she was wearing her nightgown and high heels while pushing her teddy bear around the house in a baby doll stroller. She was also carrying a purse and she said, "Mommy, I going to Walmart. Stay here. I'll be right back!"

July 4, 2010

On this day we no longer only celebrate our freedom and independence as Americans. We now also celebrate the birth of Baylee Marie Brewer. Born July 4, 2007 at 7:41 a.m. at Hendersonville Medical Center weighing in at 7 lbs. 15 oz and 20 inches long. I'm sure there were thousands upon thousands of babies born on that very day. However, on that day at Hendersonville Medical Center Baylee was the ONLY baby born. There were 7 women in labor when I arrived at the hospital the afternoon of July 3 but not one the day of the 4th. We actually watched the fire works from my hospital room the night she was born. I think her "birth story" is pretty spectacular. Just like her!
We didn't have much planned for Baylee's birthday day. It was on Sunday so we all got around and got ready for church. That sure was interesting. Six people getting dressed and out the door for church by 8:15. We were in such a rush that I didn't get to take any pictures of the birthday girl. Since I had to stay to keep nursery for the 2nd hour everyone else headed home. I asked Mamma to get some pictures of Baylee before changing her clothes. Welp she was unsuccessful at getting a picture of her alone. She did mange to get some with both Baylee and Grace.

Beautiful sweet girl
After lunch and a nap we headed to the pool.

Trying to get Kassi some SUN! LOL
When we got back to the house Carl had just finished grilling. We had a delicious dinner! Afterwards the girls decided they wanted to color.
It turned out to be a pretty low key day and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
