Michigan bound.....

I am again slacking in the blogging department. I don't have any pictures for this post so I thought I would post "a look back" at this date exactly one year ago. Click HERE We are heading to Michigan tomorrow to spend the long weekend with The Russells. We have really been looking forward to it all week. LSU plays Appalachian state tomorrow so we will be sure to be near a TV tomorrow at 4:00 pm.

Saturday we celebrated Maw's 93rd birthday. All of the family got together for the first time since Brittney and Josh's wedding back in May. Baylee and I went outside so she could play. She is facinated by the door to the fence. She opens and closes it again, and again, and again. BTW, Baylee is doing great after having the tubes put in her ears last Wednesday. She is not too fond of the drops that we have to put into her ears 4 times a day but we only have a couple more days of that. She still is on antibiotics from the infection that the doctor found when doing the tubes procedure and so far it seems to be working. She is back to sleeping all night and not NEARLY as fussy!

Missing that afternoon nap

Since Baylee is now in Nursery C she only gets 1 nap per day while at daycare; between 11:30-1:15 or so. On weekends she gets at least 2....sometimes 3. Every night when we get home from daycare she is SOOO exhausted. Thursday and Friday night Carl took her for a walk in her stroller for about 15 minutes and each time she came back like this...

MESSY...MESSY...MESSY!

I took these photos last weekend but had forgotten about them. For lunch I let Baylee feed herself Ravioli. It was funny at first and she loved being able to feed herself. However, after eating almost half she started getting sleepy and began rubbing her eyes. I quickly washed off her hands and face but the sauce was almost like a paint on her skin. I had to take her upstairs and give her a bath right then. I learned my lesson of letting Baylee feed herself!

Gulfarium video

Here is a video that was taken at the Gulfarium when we were on vacation in Florida. How awesome would it be to work with dolphins? I for one would LOVE it!

Tagged

I was tagged by Jamie and Amanda for this game "Six Random Things about Me," Here are the rules: Link to the person who tagged you, mention the rules, tell six quirky, yet boring & unspectacular things about yourself, tag six other bloggers by linking to them, and then go to each person's blog and leave a comment letting them know they've been tagged. 1. As some of you all know I have a HUGE family on my Dad's side. My daddy has 7 brothers and sisters so that means I have 16 1st cousins, 21 2nd cousins with 5 on the way! To come up with those numbers I literally had to write it all out or I would not have known the correct number.

2. I LOVE Chile Burrito. MANY of my friends and family already know this but it is a MUST that I eat there once a week. If I could I would eat there everyday. Their salad's are THE BEST!

3. I am addicted to Y & R (Young and the Restless). I remember when I was a small child watching it with my Mamma and even my Maw Maw . Soaps are like riding a bike. Even if you haven't watched an episode in a while you can easily catch on. Carl and I have Direct TV so I am able to catch some episodes on Saturday nights on Soap Net if we are home. If not, I read about it online ;) 4. I can not stand to be barefoot inside. Now I know that it is summertime and VERY hot here in the South but when I am indoors you will rarely see me without a pair of socks on my feet. I LOVE my flip flops when outside but when I come in the socks go on.

5. I have not seen one scary movie since Baylee has been born. Not that I have ever been a big fan but I did see them occasionally. For some reason now it scares me to no end to think of watching a horror flick. Carl tried to talk me into seeing The Strangers but I put an AX to that idea! 6. I have a SLIGHT case of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). All of the hangers in mine and Carl's closet is white. I also have all of the clothes facing in a certain direction. I see this as neatness and NOT OCD but others disagree. I also have to have my towels and wash clothes folded a certain way. There have been times when my sweet husband has folded laundry for me and put them away. It takes all I have not to pull them out and re-fold. Maybe I should see a shrink?

I am tagging Leah, Alison, Brittney, Casey, and Nikki K

Short video

oHere is a very short clip taken in Florida. I wish I would have taken more videos. I guess the 300 photos makes up for it. I want to go back!!

Carnival

Saturday Alison and I took the RJ and Baylee to a Carnival held at All About Kids (Baylee's daycare). They are still a little young for a lot of the activities that they had but I think they enjoyed their time there. Each of the classrooms in the daycare had a game. The first room we walked into had "Pick a Duck". It was an inflatable pool with rubber ducks floating. For one ticket (25 cents each) they would pick up a duck and get a price that coincided with that duck. Baylee and RJ both were more interested in splashing in the water than reaching for ducks. It took a while to get them lured out of that room. The 2nd room that we went into had "The Sucker Pull". Again for 25 cents you get to pull out one lollipop. The kids thought it was fun to grab them all and pull them out. As I have said before, it is nearly impossible to get my 13 month old to take the time to stop long enough to look up at me for a good picture. I do love this one even though she is ignoring me. The third room that we went into had a basketball goal set up over the door and also some sort of game that you hit the badger and the bell goes to the top. RJ tried it out but was unsuccessful. He and Baylee thought it was MUCH more fun to pull all of the prize necklaces off the table and play with them. The 4th room had a inflatable jumping toy. Neither Baylee or RJ was brave enough to go into that giant contraption. And the 5th and final room was full of balloons. If you were able to pop one then you would get a prize. Again, too small but they had fun with the balloons and the other toys in that room.

Tubes it is....

Before we left for Florida Baylee's pediatrician scheduled her an appointment with an ENT (Ear Nose and Throat doctor) due to the continuous ear infections she has had over the past year. Yesterday morning I had her at the doctor at 7:30 a.m. We met BRIEFLY with the doctor and said she was a definite candidate for the procedure. We were sent back out to the waiting room where we waited for the lady to get there who administers the hearing tests. Baylee passed the one taken on her left ear but failed the one taken on her right ear. The doctor assured me this is only because she has fluid in her ears.
So we are down for next Wednesday at 6:15 am to be at the surgery center for the procedure. Everyone keeps telling me the difference we will notice right away. I sure hope so.
Here is something I am working on to order. It is a colage of the beach pics that I am ordering from Snapfish. I don't think this is exactly the way I want it but you get the picture.
