Think PINK

We have only been in our new house for 4 short months. I have been itching to paint Baylee's room since we moved in. Neither Carl or I enjoy painting. I assumed it would be a long time before we would ever get it done. Welp this week Carl mentioned painting Baylee's bedroom. I was SO excited. I knew that I wanted to do stripes on the walls and I wanted them to be PINK.
We found out very late in my pregnancy that Baylee was indeed a girl. Since she was our first baby we were both anxious to get the nursery done regardless of the sex of the baby. We opted on green walls with Sea Turtles as the theme so it would go for either boy or girl. When painting her new room I wanted it to be totally girly.
Daddy painting away Finished product...minus a few accessories that I plan to purchase soonOh and she really LOVES it. She was so shocked when she woke up this morning and I took her into her room. We put her in the pack and play to sleep last night because it was almost midnight before we finished. GOOD TIMES!

More Father's Day

Here are the rest of the pictures taken on Father's Day. Daddy got a new grill! We have been in need of a good grill for a while now. I think he is pretty happy with it. He is already planning another weekend of cooking out.Neither Carl or I are fans of gas grills. We both like the taste of food cooked on a charcoal grill. Carl and his dad ....aka Baylee's Pappy Peek-a-Boo And more of sweet baby girlOverall we had a great Father's Day. Baylee got to spend Father's Day with her Daddy, Carl was able to be with his, and I.....well I get to see MY daddy next week when they come up for Baylee's birthday...which is NEXT WEEKEND by the way!

Zoo

This was only our second time to go to the zoo this year and most likely was our last until it cools off drastically! Carl had made plans to play golf in Hermitage while Baylee and I had nothing going on this morning. Audrey mentioned Thursday about going to the zoo so I jumped at tagging along. We made it to the zoo around 9:15. It was hot but not too hot. That is until you have to chase a 2 year old around a GINORMOUS play area.
They have a cool water feature but Baylee wasn't too sure about running under and getting wet.Conner was though. If you look closely you can see he is in mid air in this picture. He is working the swim diaper and tee :)

1 HUGE meltdown later we made it to the carousel. I thought Baylee would LOVE it. I was wrong. She did not want to sit on any of the animals so I ended up holding her during the ride and taking pictures of the boys.

If you look into the mirror behind Conner you will see Baylee and I

Looking at the giraffe's. Notice the sweat, it was BLAZING!Grubbin on cheetosOne more meltdown later, because sassy girl did not want her diaper or clothes changed, we headed for the car. She was asleep before we pulled onto the street out of the zoo. Somebody was TIRED! I am pretty sure Baylee was too ;)

Video

I took this video a couple of weekends ago. I went to take a shower and when I got out I could hear Carl's IPOD blaring. He had it on the speaker dock in our guest bedroom. He yelled at me to come here and this is what I found. Please ignore the huge mess that little miss B strowed all over the floor.

Hangin with Da Da

Sunday afternoon Carl and I took Baylee outside to play. I ran in the house for something and shortly after heard the lawn mower running. I went tearing out of the house because I was worried that Carl thought Baylee had came up the deck stairs and was with me. When I RAN outside I found this.... The weedy area behind the mower is an open field that I am assuming will one day be filled with houses. For now it is where we see our deer every day. After I took these pictures I went inside to grab the sunblock to put on her.

Saturday stroll....

Saturday afternoon Carl went to play 9 holes of golf while Baylee and I went for a walk. Somewhere in the neighborhood close to ours there is a pond. Carl and Baylee have walked to it before but I have yet to see it. Welp, we set off on our journey and 15 minutes later we were headed home because I could not find it and she was no help at all! :)After working up a good sweat from our walk she and I changed into our swimwear and we hit the pool!

Morning Routine

Baylee and I have a morning routine each day during the work week. I get up between 5-5:30 and she is up shortly after 5:30. I normally warm up some muffins (thank goodness for Hostess), turn on the TV in her room to Disney channel and leave her be while I go get dressed. Every now and again she is in a foul mood and wants me in the room and whines but she is getting better.

Another day at the playground

I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago at the playground at Station Camp Elementary. Daddy seems to have as much fun as Baylee each time we go :)
