More backtracking.....Thanksgiving Day

Awaiting us were my grandparents and MORE FOOD! Mamma and Daddy made a HUGE pot of chicken and shrimp gumbo. You know the traditional Louisiana Thanksgiving dinner....right? At least for us that is ;)

Since we won't be traveling to Louisiana for Christmas we brought Granny & Papa's gift and gave it to them on Thanksgiving. Baylee was helping Granny open her gift.

Backtracking. Thanksgiving Weekend Part 1

Carl, Baylee and I made the 8 hour drive to Louisiana the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. We left after I got off work so it was pretty late when we arrived. Baylee did well but only slept about 2 hours total. Wednesday morning we made a trip to Jonesville.

My baby sister and IBaylee LOVES Toby! He is not quite as fond of her as she is of him. When we made it back from Jonesville my cousin Leah was there with her 3 kids. Gavin (the oldest) is my new BFF. He followed me everywhere and was giving me LOTS of sweet kisses. Here is little prissy girl Kami Ruth And Kami's tweekie Luke Randall. I think he is going to pass Gavin in size pretty soon. On this day he was doing some major walking back and forth between me and his Mamma. Which reminds me I haven't asked her if he has mastered it yet........

After everyone left we had fried fish for dinner (jealous Nicki???). It was GOOOOOD! Around 6:00 we headed to our friends house. We hadn't seen them in over 2 years!! At that time Baylee was just 5 weeks old and Heather was pregnant with her son Tristan. We have missed them SO much!

This little boy is SUPER sweet and smart as a whip! He wanted to be nose to nose with Baylee and she was having none of that. It was cracking us all up!

Grubbin on some spaghetti!We had such a good visit. We didn't get as much time with them as we would have wanted but it was late and we were exhausted from such a busy day and travel the night before! I am hoping we can get them to Tennessee SOON! :)

Oh Christmas tree oh Christmas tree......

We spent our Thanksgiving in Louisiana so we were late getting our Christmas tree up. We made the trip back to Tennessee on Monday so we had to wait until the following weekend to find us a tree. Saturday morning we headed out to a tree farm in Hendersonville. It was beyond cold! Baylee was not too enthused about having to wear a beanie hat but her Daddy intervened so she obliged.

Carl asked her which tree she wanted to she pointed to the one she was standing by. Love this picture of my sweet girl!I love behind shots.....as long it is not MY "behind" in the shot :)And THIS is what she does when I ask her to smile. She HATES taking pictures these days. Kills Mommy's soul!hahahahaWhen we got home Baylee went down for a nap so I was able to get the tree decorated. Wish I would have filmed her reaction when she saw it for the first time.

Next on my to do it to buy gifts to put under the tree Carl and I tacked the outside lights late Saturday afternoon. We will not be attempting putting lights on the house EVER! We may add a few more things soon.

Her very own Ride!

I am WAY behind in the blogging department. In a rut I guess. For now I will leave you with this picture. Carl's Mom and Step-Dad got Baylee a Disney Princess Scooter for her birthday/Christmas. She has MASTERED driving around in circles but when trying to drive straight she manages to turn in the direction she is looking. It's hysterical! Look at that face. Happy as can be!
