Enjoying the Season and all it has to offer

Last weekend I still had some shopping to do so early Saturday morning we went to Rivergate Mall to try and knock some of that out. We got there before Santa arrived so we tried to talk him up and attempt to have Baylee sit on his lap for a photo. Um that did not work. I am not one of those parents to put my child, Santa, or others through the ear shattering noise of my child in absolute terror. They did have a little train for children to ride and she was all about that. I thought that I was going to have to ride with her but she surprised me and did it alone.The Christmas tree in the center of the tracks.She was squealing with absolute excitement the entire time. It was hilarious!

She did NOT want to get off and had a bit of a meltdown after I snapped this picture. Actually a major meltdown!Alison called and said that they were heading to Opry Mills mall and then to the hotel to see the Christmas decorations. We headed over to meet them. After a quick meal in the food court we headed to Opryland Hotel.

The Russell's turn We let the kids run around and play in lobby area. They were in dyer need to burn off some energyIt amazes me how gentle Baylee is with Averly. She really adores her....as long as Mommy isn't showing her TOO much attention.Daddy of course had to join in on the fun!Love these two kiddos!Beautiful girl!

Our Christmas Angel

These pictures were taken the day we got our Christmas tree. I was able to get the tree decorated and the decorations up while Baylee was napping. She knows who each stocking belongs to.This picture makes me laugh. I asked Baylee if I could take her picture and she turned around and crossed her arms. Little stinker!Baylee loves her "petty tree". She wants the lights on at all times.AIRPLANE!She started this while we were in Louisiana. I was sitting on the floor and she took off running into my arms. After I scoop her into my arms I rock backwards onto the floor. She then backs up and does it over and over. Definitely a good ab workout.Everyone needs a little dose of laughter from this little blond haired beauty :)

Backtracking Part 3

Day after Thanksgiving. PaPaw, B and TobyDuring our visit in Louisiana we had a hard time getting Baylee to take naps as well as getting her to sleep at night. On a normal night at home Baylee and I watch part of a movie and when she starts showing signs of sleepiness I turn it off. I then rock her for just a few minutes and lay her down awake. She then rolls to her belly and I cover her with her bink "blanket". She raises her head to give mommy a kiss and then she rolls her head over and goes right to sleep. This was not the case while in La! She was rocked each and every night before bed and she had to be sound to sleep before laying her down.

While she was asleep my cousin Orvalle and his family stopped by for a visit on their way through to Jena. We haven't seen Asher since Easter I think. He is getting to big...and HANDSOME!After they all left we got dressed and headed to the Christmas tree farm to get a tree for NeNe and PaPaw's house.When we got there Baylee had to touch each and every tree. Followed by saying "tree".I just love these next two pictures. Only something you would see way down south that's for sure!I think this one may have been Christmas card worthy if she did not have her hand in her mouth.She's the apple of his eye for sure...no doubt about it!And of course if there are horses anywhere around she is going to spot them!Tagging the treeBaylee went for a little ride around the farmMamma has been wanting to get Baylee a pair of boot for months! She has been talking about it and talking about it. She didn't want to buy them and they be the wrong size. So on Friday morning we drove to Natchez to Cathy's Cowboy Corral. Baylee got a PINK pair of John Deer boots and a stick horse. She wasn't quiet sure of what to do with the horse so PaPaw had to show her.And the chasing began!Decorating the treeBaylee's Maw Tez and Paw Paw Jimmie got Baylee and Princess Scooter. It was a huge hit! And that my friends concludes the 3 part series from our 5 day visit to Louisiana!
