First trip to the ZOO!

Sunday was Baylee's very first visit to the Nashville Zoo. It was such a beautiful day! Here she is before leaving the house...
A very sweet lady named Ronda (who works with Carl) bought this LSU onesie before Baylee was born. She is just now able to wear it. Carl has been wanting me to put it on her since she was born (it is a 6/9 month)!
Sportin daddy's LSU hat.....she looks like a boy huh? I made sure she had a bow in her hair because I didn't want anyone telling me how cute my baby boy is! Baylee is still a little young to REALLY enjoy the zoo fully. However, she did love being outside!
Baylee and Daddy...he was trying to point out the monkeys.
This is the face she pretty much had the whole way through. It was too funny! I think she spotted something in this pic. Checking out the fish.... Ok so I have a short funny story to tell. Nashville Zoo recently added an Alligator exibit. They are all VERY small compared to what we are use to seeing in Louisiana. Believe it or not there aren't any alligators in TN lakes because the water is too cold. After viewing the alligators we walked around and came to the side and there were some women resting on a bench. I couldn't help but overhear one of the women say "Do Alligator's swim? I mean, can they dive down in that water if they wanted to?" Mamma and I just about peed ourselves!
Baylee and her Ne-Ne (my mom)
Baylee and Aunt Kassi (my sister) Daddy decided he wanted a picture of he and Baylee in the bamboo trees....even though the sign stated to "Stay On The Path" :)Family pic in front of the pond
Ne-Ne giving Baylee her bottleAfter 2 hours of fun she gave in and koned out. I think I was most excited about the HUGE children's play area they have at the zoo. By the time we made it to that side she had already fell asleep. Oh well...there is always next time!

YAY....I UPDATED :)

It is beginning to get harder and harder to update this blog. I have finals coming up in school on top of the regular daily duties of be a working wife and mommy :). Wednesday night my mom and sister got into TN for a visit from Louisiana. My sister is on spring break from school so after Kassi's softball team lost out of playoffs for State on Tuesday they headed up. They were both able to spend Thursday and today with Baylee while Carl and I worked.

9 months and growing like a WEED!

Last Friday Baylee turned 9 months old! She went in to see her pediatrician for her 9 month well check that day. She is doing great and don't have to go back until she is a year old! However, since she attends daycare I can almost guarantee she will be back at the doctor before then. She is on antibiotics now for an ear infection in her left ear that developed from a virus she had last week. Here are the stats: Weight: 17 lbs 3.2 oz (21 percentile) Height: 27 1/2 inches (48 percentile) Head: 17 3/4 inches (80 percentile) apparently she has a rather large head :) At the appointment we were given the green light for PEOPLE food! She and I went grocery shopping Sunday afternoon and I bought apples, peaches, bananas, strawberries, turkey weenies and gold fish. When we got home from the store I grabbed a banana and tried giving her a small piece...she wouldn't have any of it! This coming from a kid who LOVES banana BABY FOOD! Monday night I grabbed a wienie out of the fridge and cut it into small pieces...she GAGGED and then silled her lips shut so we couldn't force her to eat it.....this was too funny! LAST night I decided to see how she liked strawberries. So I proceeded to wash just one and cut it up for her. She LOVED it! So I decided to try a weenie again...loved it too! After she ate what I cut up for her I tried sweet peas. It has been a WHILE since I gave them to her. The first time she wouldn't have anything to do with it. This go round I couldn't get it in her mouth fast enough! Guess she likes her sweet peas like her cousin Layton! :)

Whoa it has been a week since I last posted. I have not stopped long enough to take a single picture this week...not that anything interesting has really happened to need to. Yesterday was Annabelle Temple's 2nd birthday. Annabelle and her mom moved to TN recently from Louisiana. Hannah (Annabelle's mom) and I went to high school together and have been friends for years! I was happy when she told me that they would be moving here. Holly, Baylee and I went to see them both and give Annabelle her birthday presents. When we got there Annabelle was asleep so Baylee was everyone's entertainment. When Annabelle finally woke up she went to opening presents!
The birthday girl! :)
Annabelle and her mom....TAKE ONEand TAKE TWOTAKE THREEAnnabelle was giving Baylee TONS of hugs and kisses
Playing so well together :)
These next pics just shows you how hard it is to take a GOOD picture with a 9 month old..too funnyI HAD her hair in a pony tail and a bow but it started to come out after 4+ hours so I didn't bother trying to re-fix it. This one cracks me up...she is ALWAYS on the move! Holly looks like she is REALLY listening to what Annabelle is saying!Baylee enjoyed playing with the birthday girls presents...
