Less than 3 weeks to go!
Carl called me at work on Friday afternoon with BIG news! The contractor on the house called and the tile is in, the fireplace is done, all of the gas/electric is done, HVAC, and the majority of the appliances and cabinets are in. It is really coming together and I can now picture our things in the house. This week the plan is to complete the hardwood floors, finished the cabinets and possibly carpet the bedrooms. The house is locked up now so we either have to go while the workers are there or get a key from the model home during their open hour.
DiningLivingMasterBaylee's bathI took ALL of these pictures in video camera mode so are are very narrow angled. I am mad at myself for not paying attention! Welp that's all for this week.

Jan 08
These days I don't seem to have much time for being on the computer. Normally when I do find time to get online I check my email, check all of my blogs that I follow, and update when I have something interesting to post. While I was catching up on Stormie's blog I got the idea from there to look back at last years post at this time. When the first picture popped up it brought tears to my eyes. She is growing much faster than I would like but man she is fun these days! Click here to see my baby B when she was still a baby :(

3 weeks and 2 days!
Carl received a phone call from our realtor yesterday and the closing on our house is "tentatively" set for Feb 13. With it being a new construction there is always the possibility of it being pushed back due to inspection scheduling and such. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will be moving in on Feb 14. So much for the Super Bowl party we were looking to have at the new pad!

Another weekend with The Russell's
Carl had to work Saturday so Baylee and I made plans to go visit RJ and Averly. It had been a few weeks since we had seen RJ and I was dying to get my hands on sweet Averly. She pretty much slept the entire time we were there but I didn't mind. I was still able to hold her and kiss on her :)
The Mommy and her new baby girlRJ and Baylee had a good time playing. Oh how I am going to miss these good times when the Russell's move back to Michigan. Maybe RJ can stay behind and live with us. I am sure Ray and Al wouldn't mind ;)
RJ has become a huge cheeser. I am pretty sure that he taught Baylee to say cheese on this day. I was trying to snap some pics of B and he kept coming over and smiling for the camera. How cute is he?
I love these two precious babies! They were both saying "CHEESE"....or something like it :)When it was time to head home the kiddos kissed and said goodbye!Sunday, January 18, 2009
The Countdown is ON!
Carl and I rode out to the house Saturday morning. It is REALLY coming along nicely. Since last week they have put up the ceiling, put doors on all closets and bedrooms, put the first coat of paint on, leveled the front yard, and a few small details. Carl gets a phone call from the builders every Friday. They are hoping to finish painting and put in the floors this week. I am getting SO excited imagining our things in the new house :)
They also finished the fireplace mantel and I can not be more thrilled with the way it turned out. We didn't have a fireplace in our 1st house so I am really excited about having one in the new house. The holes above is where we are putting our TV. Dining room......the chair rails are done and they have almost finished the crown moldingKitchenView from dining roomOur house is a split level. When you walk in you either go upstairs or down. This is the view when you walk in the door and see the living room

There's always next year right?
Carl and I had an opportunity of a lifetime to watch the Tennessee Titans play in a playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens this past Saturday. Not only were we able to see it played LIVE we were only 10 rows up from the Titans sideline on the 20 yard line! I could not believe how amazing our seats were when we arrived! When we got there the kickers were warming up (I guess that's what you call it ?)
Rob Bironas28 Chris Johnson (Carl feels that if he would have been able to play the entire game that the Titans may have won. ) I just think these next two pictures were AMAZING! Win or loose I am so glad we were able to be there. It was a little chilly at the beginning of the game and thankfully we did not get the rain that we thought was coming. It drizzed on us a couple of times but not enough to have to put on our ponchos. The only touchdown that was scored by the Titans was on our end of the field. We stood the ENTIRE game. I sat only during commercial breaks and halftime. After the first touchdown I was so excited I started jumping up and down and I busted my knee on the seat in front of me. No blood or tears but MAN it hurt! I had to sit down immediately because I got lightheaded! GEESH!Welp we all know that the Titans did not come out with a win. What makes it SO hard to swallow is the fact that the Titans handed them the game. Maybe they were feeling generous...who knows?
Vince YoungCoach Jeff FisherCarl told me to take this pic (Ray Lewis #52)When I heard that Martina McBride was singing the National Anthem I got SO excited! I LOVE her! Too bad she was facing the opposite direction. So I took pictures of her on the screen :)
