12 month check

Baylee went in today for her 12 month well check. I have been a little concerned since the weekend with her runny nose and cough. It seems to be just a summer cold and the cough is coming from the post nasal drainage. I heard Baylee coughing HEAVILY this morning (around 4:00 a.m.) For some reason pneumonia popped in my head...probably because it was 4 am and I wasn't thinking clearly. Luckily it's just a cold. However; they did check her ears and one was a bit red. She had double ear infections back in June and was put on Amoxicilin. Well since the infection is back she upped the meds to Omnicef. Hopefully this will do the trick. So for her 12 month well check she was up for 2 shots and a finger prick to check her blood. She didn't do TOO badly. She cried of course but about 2 minutes after I picked her up she was fine. We got the results back from the blood work and she is anemic. We were given a prescription for an iron supplement to put in her juice daily. After two months I am to give her Flinstone Vitamins with iron and break them in half. Also we are to feed her LOTS of green veggies, meet, and whole wheat products. Here are the stats... Weight 19 lbs 6.5 oz (20th percentile) Height 29 1/2 inches (59th percentile) Head 18 1/2 inches (83rd percentile).....still has a big head :)
